About Us

LEADINGTRANSIT

Who We are

LeadingTransit is a private, member-supported community for public-sector transit professionals in the United States and Canada. The platform provides decision-ready intelligence and practical education that help transit professionals strengthen judgment, improve performance, and advance in their roles. As members grow personally, their agencies benefit through better-informed planning, procurement, operations, and strategy.

LeadingTransit is focused on bus operations, including fixed-route, paratransit, and microtransit.

What the Platform Offers

LeadingTransit brings together the intelligence, education, and professional visibility that transit professionals need in one private member environment.

Members can access and engage with:

  • Briefings - focused intelligence on the developments, issues, and shifts shaping public transit

  • Calendar - relevant events and industry activity in one place

  • Courses - practical learning designed to build real-world capability

  • Awards - recognition that highlights excellence across the industry

  • Strategies - approaches, lessons, and proven ideas professionals can apply in their own organizations

  • Products - member-informed visibility into products shaping public transit

  • Services - relevant service providers and capabilities supporting the sector

  • Benchmarks - comparisons and reference points that help professionals assess performance and progress

Why We Exist

Useful transit knowledge is often scattered across conferences, vendor materials, consultants, internal silos, and disconnected news sources. That makes it harder for professionals to stay current, harder to compare what is working, and harder to build confidence in important decisions. LeadingTransit exists to bring that intelligence and education together in a form that is directly useful to the individuals doing the work. Just as importantly, it gives members a voice within a credible professional setting. Members are not limited to passively consuming information. They help validate resources, shape discussions, contribute perspective, and build a stronger professional presence among their peers.

Who Can Join

Membership is limited to approved public-sector transit and government employees in the United States and Canada. We are not an open public platform and it is not built around agency-wide memberships. The platform is designed for individual professionals who want private access to stronger insight, practical learning, and meaningful peer participation.

How Membership Helps

Membership gives verified professionals private access to peer intelligence and learning that sharpens decisions and strengthens practice. It also gives members a more active role in the industry conversation. Through participation, validation, recognition, and engagement, members can strengthen both their capabilities and their professional presence.
