1) Who we are

LeadingTransit.org (“LeadingTransit,” “we,” “our”) is an agency-facing intelligence and education platform for eligible public-sector transit and government professionals in the United States and Canada. LeadingTransit is operated by Leading Essentials Inc. Access to the platform is account-based and restricted to approved users.

2) Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, becoming a member, or using the site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please do not use the site.

3) Eligibility (Who can join)

Membership is limited to verified public-sector transit professionals in the U.S. and Canada:

  • Employees of public transit agencies and authorities

  • Staff of municipal, regional, provincial/state, or federal departments with transit responsibilities

Private-sector vendors, consultants, and contracted operators (including O&M providers) are not eligible for membership.

Verification & approval
We require a work-email or equivalent proof of employment and may approve, decline, or revoke membership at our discretion (including if eligibility changes).

Account restrictions
One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable and may not be shared.
Vendors. Private-sector vendors and sales organizations are not eligible for member access. Invited experts may contribute to public materials under our firewall/recusal policy, without access to member discussions or data.

4) Editorial independence

Vendor-neutral and ad-free: no advertising, sponsored posts, native ads, or affiliate links.

5) Community standards

Share factual experience. No solicitations, sales outreach, or vendor marketing. Be respectful and professional. We may moderate, edit, or remove content or accounts that violate these standards.

6) Discussions and published content

By participating in any discussion, survey, written exchange, or other contribution with LeadingTransit, you understand that your input may be edited for clarity or length and may be included in LeadingTransit content such as articles, reports, courses, or member materials. Any such use would be on a non-exclusive, royalty-free basis. Please do not share confidential, proprietary, privileged, or otherwise restricted information that you are not authorized to disclose. LeadingTransit may choose whether or not to publish, edit, or remove contributed content.

7) Intellectual property and licensing

  • Our content: All site materials (articles, briefs, data, layouts, and trademarks) are owned by LeadingTransit or our licensors. Except for personal, non-commercial use, you may not copy, scrape, republish, or create derivative works without written permission.

  • Member submissions: If you post comments, notes, files, or other materials on LeadingTransit, you allow us to host, store, display, and use that content as needed to operate the site and related member features. You confirm that you have the right to share any content you submit.

  • Attribution: Quoting our published articles is permitted with clear credit to LeadingTransit.org and a link to the source page. Bulk copying, database building, and automated scraping are prohibited.

8) Fees, Paid Access and Billing

  • Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated and include applicable Canadian GST/HST where required by law.

  • Creating an account may provide access to certain free resources. Some content, features, courses, reports, data, tools, or other services may require a paid membership tier or separate payment.

  • Applicable fees, access entitlements, and billing intervals are shown at checkout or on the relevant offer page.

  • Fees and plan features may change at any time. Changes will apply to future purchases or the next renewal term unless otherwise stated.

  • Unless otherwise stated, paid memberships automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel through your account settings, and cancellation will stop the next renewal.

  • Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable for the current billing period.

  • Sales to customers outside Canada are generally treated as zero-rated exports for Canadian tax purposes.

9) Privacy

We collect and use information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site, you consent to those practices.

10) Prohibited uses

You agree not to: (a) access member areas without authorization; (b) use automated means to scrape, harvest, or download content; (c) attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the site; (d) post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing content; (e) engage in solicitation or marketing; or (f) impersonate others.

11) Moderation and enforcement

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms or our community standards. We may also take steps to prevent abuse (rate-limits, IP blocks, etc.).

12) Third-party links and services

The site may link to third-party sites or services. We’re not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

13) Disclaimers

15) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LeadingTransit and our staff, editors, and contributors from claims arising out of your use of the site, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16) Changes to the site or Terms
